Andy McDowell is the President of Gulf Energy Information. His responsibilities include the global management of industry leading technical brands; World Oil, Pipeline & Gas Journal, Hydrocarbon Processing, H2Tech, Gas Processing & LNG and Underground Infrastructure. In addition he oversees media responsibility for the PE Media Network brands; Petroleum Economist, Hydrogen Economist and Carbon Economist. He has over 17 years of experience in business-to-business energy media, all of them with Gulf. Prior to his current role, Andy served in various senior management and sales management roles for several Gulf titles. He previously worked for Clear Channel Entertainment based in London, UK, and Houston, TX.
Andy is a graduate of Texas Christian University with a BBA degree in marketing and enjoys time with his wife and two daughters (13) and (11).
Catherine Watkins publishes Hydrocarbon Processing and Gas Processing & LNG and manages Gulf Energy Information’s downstream events. With more than 25 years of experience in business-to-business media, Catherine was previously the Regional Director for Hydrocarbon Processing, World Oil, Gas Processing & LNG and Pipeline & Gas Journal in Western Europe and the Middle East/Africa. Catherine’s contributions include advertising sales, organizing industry forecast presentations and conducting marketing seminars for clients.
Catherine holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley with post-graduate work in Finance. She now lives in Houston with her husband and two children.
Sheryl has over 20 years of experience in print, digital and website production and project management. She oversees the design and production of Gulf Energy Information’s publications, marketing collateral, conference materials, as well as the development and maintenance of the company’s websites. Prior to joining Gulf in 2003, Sheryl held positions at the Texas Association of REALTORS® and Silent Partners, Inc. Sheryl earned a BA in Communication from Trinity University.
Sheryl lives in Kingwood, TX, with her husband and two children. Sheryl volunteers as a Girl Scout troop leader and serves on the boards of two youth swim organizations.
Roger Jordan is responsible for Gulf Energy Information’s corporate marketing strategy and leads the team promoting the company’s market intelligence/data products and its seven industry-specific publications and their associated events. Roger is responsible for nurturing, developing and expanding Gulf’s audience base—both domestic and international—and manages both the controlled and paid subscribers to Gulf’s historic titles. Roger joined Gulf in 2013 and was named Director of Marketing and Audience Development in 2017. Prior to Gulf, Roger worked for a high-profile, non-profit organization based in the UK.
He is a graduate of Durham University, UK, and now resides in Houston, TX, with his wife and children.
Jacob Adams Mireles, MS, CMP is Vice President, Events at Gulf Energy Information. He is responsible for the overall strategic leadership and execution of the global event portfolio for all Gulf brands. Jacob joined Gulf in 2023. Throughout Jacob’s career he has been responsible for designing unique event experiences and creating learning journeys for a broad range of professions and industries. Jacob is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and most recently served as the Director of Sponsorships and Project Management with Shepard Exposition Services and AMPP (f/k/a NACE International) as the Director of Conferences, Exhibits, and Sponsorships. Originally from the Chicagoland area, Jacob graduated from DePaul University with a BA in Public Policy and MS in International Public Service Management.
Lee Nichols is the Vice President, Content for Gulf Energy Information. In this role, he manages all nine brands under the organization, which focuses on the various segments of the oil, gas, energy and hydrogen industries. Mr. Nichols also continues his Editor-in-Chief duties for three Gulf brands: Hydrocarbon Processing, Gas Processing & LNG and H2Tech. He has particular expertise in capital investments and trends globally for the downstream and midstream industries. He has authored more than 200 articles on various subjects within the refining, petrochemicals, hydrogen, oil and gas, and LNG industries, as well as conducted many presentations for both public and private events and organizations.
