1942 — Refiner & Natural Gasoline Manufacturer changes its name to Petroleum Refiner.
1947 — The Oil Weekly is renamed World Oil and becomes a monthly publication.
1954 — Gulf launches its third magazine, Pipe Line Industry.
1966 — Gulf acquires Ocean Industry.
1975 — Construction Boxscore covers active, global construction projects.
1995 — Gulf’s Pipe Line Industry is renamed to Pipe Line and Gas Industry
2000's
2000 — Gulf is purchased by two private investment partners.
2001 — Gulf sold to London-based Euromoney Institutional Investor plc.
2004 — Gulf launches its annual Women’s Global Leadership Conference.
2013 — Gulf publishes Gas Processing.
2016 — Gulf undergoes a management buyout and becomes an independent, Houston-based company. Petroleum Economist is added to the Gulf portfolio.
