Deepwater Development Conference Welcomes Shell’s Sacha Luces to Advisory Board

HOUSTON, TX (December 19, 2024) -- The Deepwater Development Conference (MCEDD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sacha Luces, Deepwater Development Manager at Shell, to its Advisory Board for the 2025 event.

Ms. Luces joins a distinguished panel of industry leaders, including representatives from Repsol, bp, Eni, OMV, Petrobras, SOCAR, TotalEnergies, and Woodside Energy, further reflecting the conference's commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation in the deepwater sector. 

MCEDD will be held from March 25-27, 2025, in Madrid, Spain, with Repsol as the Host Sponsor. Organized by World Oil and Petroleum Economist, the event will unite the global deepwater community for three days of high-level strategic insights, technical sessions, and networking. 

Ms. Luces brings over two decades of experience in deepwater operations, surveillance, and project development. She began her career with Shell Venezuela in 2003, advancing through various roles in offshore operations and development.

Her expertise expanded through technical and leadership positions in New Orleans, where she oversaw production engineering across multiple assets and served as a Business Advisor. Since 2015, Ms. Luces has been based in Houston, excelling as a Subsurface Lead for greenfield and brownfield projects, and most recently as Deepwater Development Manager, demonstrating strong technical skills in field development and asset management.
